Tre and Kierra first met in 2006 as sixth graders at Birney Middle School. Tre insists their lockers were right next to each other, though Kierra doesn’t quite remember it that way. From those early days at Birney through their time at University High School, their friendship remained strong. It wasn’t until 10th grade, in Mr. Sanford’s math class, that things began to shift. What started as playful teasing and lighthearted flirting slowly grew into something deeper. Feelings developed on both sides, and on June 16, 2011, at exactly 11:57 p.m. (according to Tre), they made their relationship official. Through high school, college, graduate school, and the start of adulthood, Tre and Kierra remained committed to one another. Their journey hasn’t always been easy—filled with both highs and lows—but their love has only grown stronger with time. On February 15th, in the quiet comfort of their living room, Tre asked Kierra to marry him—just the way they both wanted. From middle school friends to high school sweethearts, their story has come full circle. Now, they’re finally ready to say “I do.” #WaltonDownTheAisle
