Martín and Kennedy’s journey started a whole 9 years ago! Kennedy’s best friend Elena (and Martín’s cousin) introduced them when Martín moved to Jackson, MO during high school. They became really great friends within that year, and Kennedy admittedly had a very large crush on Martín after getting to know his kind heart and incredible sense of humor. They got to spend time together at school as well as in their youth group at First Baptist Church in Jackson. Although Kennedy would have loved to start dating Martín back then, God had other plans for them. After many years apart following 2016, Kennedy decided she wanted to reach out to Martín to get her friend back into her life. In summer of 2022 (6 years after they first met) they became inseparable. They both realized that life was a lot better with the other person in it. It felt as if they picked their friendship up right where it left off. Martín quickly made their relationship official, and they have had countless adventures since. By the grace of God they also grew closer to Christ through their relationship. Very early on they knew that God had a hand in their dating journey. Because of this, Kennedy and Martín are ecstatic to celebrate not only their marriage on July 13th, but also the culmination of the ways God has shaped them separately and together!
