Young Lovers Bridger and Kendall were students at Fairview high school when they met. Their relationship officially started at Junior Prom but both of them would tell you that the roots started taking hold much before then. At a school dance their junior year, they sat next to each other at dinner and spent the whole evening talking & laughing. To Kendall’s disappointment, Bridger did not ask her to dance or attend the after-party despite some pretty heavy hints (so she thought). With both of them crushing from a distance, Kendall made the first move and let her friends know that Bridger was her dream date to the Junior Prom. As word reached Bridger through mutual friends, he was shocked and didn’t hesitate to put a plan into action. Connor, the current-day best man, helped dream up the perfect, over-the-top, plan to ask Kendall to prom. With an unbelievable prom night culminating in their first kiss, it felt like the rest would be history. Long Distance Bridger and Kendall both found themselves attending Universities in the Pacific Northwest and decided to try long-distance since they didn’t want to stop seeing each other. Long distance was a challenge but more than anything it showed them that any amount of time together was worth the wait. Some of the best memories during these years were weekend meetups in Portland which is halfway between their schools. They explored the city slowly together and discovered places that they still love to go to today. The Real World At the end of college one thing was certain, Bridger and Kendall were over the long-distance phase of their journey. Bridger landed his dream job in Portland and their trips there that Spring turned into apartment hunting! They moved in after graduation and started creating a happy little life in Portland together. The lovebirds eventually moved into a bigger space together right before the pandemic. Newly working from home, they decided it was the perfect time to adopt a kitten. Wait no - 2 kittens!!! That way they have a friend… During the isolation, throughout such unknown times, Bridger and Kendall found peace in being with each other. The Proposal Bridger and Kendall had dreamed of getting married since the early days of their relationship and after a few years of living together, Bridger set his plan into motion. With a beautiful ring created from a family diamond by a local Portland artist, Bridger popped the question on Antelope Island just outside Salt lake City. Kendall of course said YES! What took you so long? The Big Day After anticipation over the past DECADE our wedding day has finally come. We can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you. K&B
