Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We are planning for an "unplugged" ceremony, so please stuff the phones away during this time. However, after we've walked our way back down the aisle as husband and wife, feel free to start taking pictures of your own! Our only request is that you tag/caption each photo with our wedding hashtag #TheBensonsBeginning so we can keep track of all of your photos! We will also be utilizing POV, an app for smartphones that you don't have to download to use. Simply use the QR code we'll have on the day and shoot some pics! Then we'll release the photos soon after in a digital gallery that will include everyone's pictures!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to various restrictions, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation and RSVP. If you are allowed a "plus 1", your RSVP will list you and "Guest".

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both ceremony and reception are taking place at Pacifica: A Garden in the Siskiyous. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place in the wedding garden next to the pond and the reception will be held under the Pavilion and in the Great Hall. If the weather does not allow an outdoor ceremony, we will move it to the Pavilion. There is a bit of a walk along dirt roadways and grass to get from parking to the wedding garden and back to the Great Hall/Pavilion.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

According to the on-site coordinator, weather around this time is usually pretty nice. Not too cold and not too hot. However, it is Oregon, so expect anything. Be prepared with a jacket or umbrella, though if it is raining, we have a plan to move under cover.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dressy casual, please! There may be some soft grass, so plan accordingly.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, all locations are on a single level to accommodate wheelchairs, however please know that the ceremony site is in a grassy area.

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! However, please know that there is a bit of a walk along dirt roadways and grass to get from the parking area to the wedding garden where the ceremony will be held and from there back to the Great Hall/Pavilion. There will be some handicap exceptions due to this walk, should it be needed.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for approximately an hour. Guests can head straight to the Pavilion for outdoor games, snacks and drinks prior to dinner being served.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We will be throwing a "Backyard BBQ" style reception complete with hamburgers/cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken skewers, and all the fixings! There will be plenty of sides to accompany the main dishes. Drinks will include various sodas, water, and some signature drinks. If you would like to contribute to the side dishes, please use the answer box on the RSVP page to let us know that you are interested, what you would like to bring, and if you are willing to change your chosen side should we have duplicates.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

There will be some accommodations, however those with allergies (such as gluten) will take precedence. In these scenarios, there will be a VIP list that will be monitored.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Some of the decorations we plan on using are on borrow from the venue itself, so we cannot guarantee you will be able to take some as souvenirs, however we will be handing out favors as a thank you for joining us.

Will transportation be provided between to/from our hotel?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate this. If you need transportation, we recommend checking for Uber or Lyft in the area.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is March 1st, 2024. With your invitation, you received the link to this website. Simply scroll up and click on the RSVP tab.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no," so we can plan accordingly.

What happens if I don't RSVP?

Answer

Well, there will be the assumption that you will not be attending. Please note that if you do attend without RSVP-ing, bring a chair and some food for yourself.

Do you have hotels blocked out for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We do not have hotels blocked out for guests. There are various lodges and resorts around Williams, however you will find most hotels/motels in Grants Pass and Medford, OR.
