We met for the first time when we were in the same third grade class. We even "dated" for a short time! As we got older and moved through middle school, high school and beyond, we joined different friend groups and didn't associate with each other very often. We reconnected online in 2022, went on a date to Black n Bleu, and the rest is history!

We went to a local pizzeria, Miseno's. When we got back to his house, he told me to check inside an envelope because his mom thought I would like what was inside. I pulled it out, and it was a keychain with pictures of us. At first, I thought it was just the keychain (and I did like it very much), but then I saw the ring attached! I turned and Devon had gotten down on one knee to propose. I said "yes" with no hesitation!

Devon and I were fortunate enough to buy a house at the end of April 2024. After a little thought, we decided since we're so in love and we had everything we needed to get married, why wait? We got married with a small, beautiful ceremony with parents, siblings, and grandparents in my church courtyard. We're looking forward to celebrating with everyone!
