Meet us at the Beach.

Matt and Keara were in the same class of 2020 at Boston College yet somehow never crossed paths on campus the first two years! It wasn't until the summer going into Junior year, did Matt and Keara finally get the chance to meet 4,000 miles from Boston in Rome, Italy. Both were enrolled for a summer course through Boston College called "The Saints and Sinners" to study Theology for four weeks. It was love at first sight. Matt and Keara were inseparable for four weeks and got to know each other in arguably the most romantic city. One weekend of their time studying abroad, they traveled to the Amalfi Coast with two of their friends, one being Matt's long- time best friend, Kevin who is his best man (Shout out Kevin!) On that trip, Matt said "whatever this is, I think we are peaking in our relationship." Let's just say they had a very great start!

After leaving Rome, Matt and Keara talked non-stop until they were reunited back at Boston College. Matt took Keara out for a birthday dinner and gifted her a beautiful necklace and "officially" asked her to be his girlfriend. The next weekend they went to a Pearl Jam concert together at Fenway Park and were inseparable for their last two years together at Boston College. They then did long-distance for two years following college. Keara was in Boston completing a two year fellowship at McLean Hospital and Matt was in Dental School at Marquette in Milwaukee. The two years flew by with frequent visits back and forth from Boston to Milwaukee. Keara then moved closer to Matt for graduate school at Northwestern and they went the next two years traveling back and forth between Evanston and Milwaukee. They loved their time in the Midwest together. Matt and Keara are finally living under the same roof in Dallas, Texas for Matt's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland Hospital. They are extremely happy to finally be together and not having to hop on a plane or get in a car to see each other!

Matt proposed to Keara the day after her graduation from Northwestern at his parents beautiful lake house. He arranged for his lovely neighbors (Dirk and Terry) to take them out on their stunning Chris Craft boat and proposed on the water. Right after Matt proposed, they drove up to the bridge and they saw all of their friends and family cheering them on! Matt secretly arranged for their close friends to fly in from all over to celebrate with them, Keara was completely shocked. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. The next morning they celebrated Keara's Father's birthday and flew to Montauk to celebrate with her side of the family!
