It was a Saturday night and they were both out with their friends when they crossed paths in Downtown Pensacola. After spending the whole evening laughing and getting to know each other, they planned to meet the next day for brunch. At brunch they got to know each other more and learned about each other's backgrounds. Tyler talked about his love for sports and Sam challenged his skills. This led to their first official date - one on one volleyball! Unexpectedly, they spent the entire day competitively playing sports and instantly hit it off. This was the beginning of many adventurous and spontaneous dates that sparked the love between them!

Tyler took Sam to his hometown for the first time since they began dating. Little did Sam know, Tyler planned a special evening at Top of the Rock in Branson, Missouri. They began walking through the hills and admiring the views when Tyler suggested it was the perfect place to exchange their Secret Santa presents with his family. Everyone exchanged gifts and when Sam opened hers there was a ring pop inside! Tyler always joked he would propose with a ring pop some day, so when Sam looked up, Tyler was down on one knee with the real ring ready to make it official! After the proposal, they had reservations at a restaurant overlooking the spot they just got engaged- the perfect celebration!
