Everyone please bring: - A natural object from your home! Think stick/rock/acorn etc that you are ok with us bringing home with us. You will be asked to bring the object to the ceremony on Sunday. - A musical instrument if you want to jam! - A prepared talent for Saturday night! Local Folks please bring: - Bouquet of flowers from your garden for the Sunday table - Extra chair to sit on for activities at Oasis and the beach! - mason jar or 2 or 3 for the keg/beverages.
It's gonna be hot! So wear something comfortable and makes you feel GOOD. We will be on grass/dirt so please be mindful of foot wear.
Maupin City Park is closest: You can jump in the river at the boat ramp, hang in a floaty by the concrete walking path where it's shallow or set up a blanket on the great grass in front of the Imperial Inn and the little can be in the shallows by the shore while the bigger buds play volleyball at the court (ball is there). Feeling adventurous or need a break from the rowdy wedding crowd?? Drive (or bike!!) up river and pull over at any campsite and find yourself a beach and shady spot to have some peace and quiet!
Go to the For Parents page on this website :)
The time we would like protected is for the ceremony 4:00-5:30pm. Outside of that time feel free to use the babysitters as you would like. Maupin City Park is a 7 min walk from the venue or a 2 min drive.
The spot we will be circling up at Oasis has some shade, but yeah, you're gonna want sun protection for the trip in general so maybe bring that big ol fancy hat you've been wondering where to wear!
Drive/bike up the Deschutes river and find a beach, go fishing, check out the antique stores in town, swim at Maupin City Park, chill in a rocking chair at the Imperial Inn grassy lawn with a book!
There's a gas station in Maupin- real cute/old means probs expensive. Best to get gas in The Dalles, 35 minutes from Maupin on the Columbia before you head south.
