Travel Note
The wedding is located at the Red Point Lighthouse, about 15 minutes south of downtown North East, MD. North East is a rural water town about midway between Baltimore and Philadelphia at the northern neck of the Chesapeake Bay. The best way to get there is by car from one of the two airports listed below. The venue will have plenty of parking. A rental car is likely to be a better value than a cab at the end of the day. Amtrak also runs a northeast regional train line with some nearby stops, which adventurous people may wish to explore, but public transit may be a little complicated. We invite our guests to coordinate with one another via the Google Doc linked below (click on "View") if they'd like to share a rental car or a cab from the airport.
Travel Note
There are multiple hotels about 20 minutes away from the venue, close to the highway. Stay tuned for a hotel block reservation. There are also some bed-and-breakfasts in downtown North East, which is a charming Chesapeake town with the requisite number of crab restaurants. There are also inns and campgrounds in the nearby bay area. But your best bet may be to find an AirBnB, because there are many on the water or in the nearby Elk Neck State Forest. Click "View" to see some nearby AirBnB options.
