Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st, 2025. If you have not responded by that date, you will be considered as "not attending". This is strict due to exact numbers needed by vendors and the venue.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that guests dress in semi-formal attire (in general: jacket, suit, and/or tie. skirts, dresses, or dress slacks) Please no white, ivory, off white or any other traditional bride colored dresses.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 5:00 PM at the Native Garden (there will be direction signs). Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony. Upon entering the forest preserve, follow signs to the Visitors Center. Please account for parking time and a quick walk on the sidewalk from the parking lot to the ceremony space.

Where should we stay?

Answer

Feel free to look on the hotel tab, we have blocks of rooms at 2 hotels, and there are many hotels near the venue.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is free parking at Independence Grove. Since it is a Forest Preserve, if there is a guard, please state that you are with the Dozois / Kleinvehn wedding at the front entrance booth and they will let you in. Follow signs to the "VISITORS CENTER".

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to our strict guest count, we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!
