We met 9 years ago at a tutoring center opened by Darren's cousin. We had known of each other, but had never met before. All it took was one Facebook message, and the rest is history. One Darth Vador impersonation, a few beach bonfires, a first date to the theaters to watch Despicable Me, and many late night phone calls later, and here we are. Almost 9 years in and still very much each other's best friends and partners in crime.

Each year, we take a trip with our friends to relax and catch up with each other. In 2021, we decided to go to Colorado. I had mentioned to Darren a few years prior that I would love to be proposed to in the snow because I love everything about Winter. On this particular day, we decided to take a hike in the mountains. Everything started out great. The scenery was beautiful and snow covered every step we took. The only downside was that it was freezing cold. Little did we know, the true test of coldness lied at our final stop. As we reached our final destination, the winds started picking up, and with the wind, were little pieces of ice that stung every time it hit our faces. The temperature also continued to drop, so a combination of both these factors was not fun. My best friend decided that we needed to take pictures right away, and when Darren was ready, she turned me around and he was on one knee. I cried, we all cried (from the cold), I said yes, and then we immediately went right back down the mountain to avoid frostbite. Now we're engaged! With that said, we're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! We look forward to having you be a part of our special day, and a memory that will last us a life time.
