We met the way most modern romances start - on a dating app. Ryan superliked Kathryn and the rest was history. For our first date we met in downtown Raleigh, and within 5 minutes Ryan had agreed to run a 5k with Kathryn in the morning. He might have thought it was a joke, but he never complained when Kathryn made him walk Lena the entire 3.1 miles

A little after 3 years of dating, we planned a couple's trip to Aruba. At first Kathryn thought there was a possibility Ryan might propose, but after 3 nights had passed and Ryan asked what type of ring she wanted, she realized that an engagement was not happening anytime soon.
