What is the wedding dress code?
Answer
Cocktail attire. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on grass, so stiletto heels are not recommended!

Do I need a car?
Answer
Yes! There are cabs available from the airport (about $100 from Bangor) but once you are in Blue Hill, you'll have a hard time getting around without a car. We definitely recommend renting a car at the airport if you are flying in.

Will there be shuttles to any of the events?

Yes, we will provide shuttles for the Welcome Party and Wedding. Details to follow.

Can I bring my kids to the ceremony or reception?
Answer
While your children are welcome at the other events during our wedding weekend, including the welcome party, lunch and brunch, the ceremony and reception are for adult guests only.

Why Blue Hill?
Answer
Blue Hill has been an important landmark and special place for generations of McCrums (and Wells, and now, Marinaccios!). The McCrum's home, Larchwood, was built in the early 20th century by Kathryn's great, great grandfather, and has since served as a central gathering point for family and friends every summer. Both Barbara's and Bo's families spent time annually in Blue Hill, and it's where they met as teenagers. Larchwood has hosted countless parties, under the direction of Kathryn's grandmother Jean, and now by Barbara and Bo. We can't wait to host you for the best one yet!
