Eleven Years in the Making

Katherine and Sidney met as Juniors at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, CA. Sidney was the cute, new guy in school and Katherine definitely wanted to know more about him. Using a class project as an excuse to move seats, Katherine placed her group close to Sidney. Overhearing that he did not have a pencil, she seized the golden opportunity, turned around and said, "You can have one of mine! Do you have friends here yet? You don't talk to anyone in class. I'll be your friend." That was the start of the friendship that would then lead them to a million bowls of pho, becoming best friends, and getting married eleven years later. Despite living in different countries at one point and then different states, that did not stop them from staying in contact with each other. Finally, the stars aligned in 2018 when Katherine moved back to California and Sidney asked Katherine on a date. Both high school and present day versions of themselves were over the moon. Sidney popped the question by recreating their first date: dinner of blue-rare filets followed by a romantic Friday the Thirteenth stroll to look at the Segerstrom Center Christmas tree. True to the couples' style, they will be married on Friday, November Thirteenth at Fairhaven Cemetery in the Waverley Chapel with the reception to follow. Katherine and Sidney are very excited to share this special day with you but please note this is an adults only celebration. Please arrive 15 minutes early for parking.
