Your venue is downtown, so what is the parking situation?

Answer

The venue has a parking garage with an attendant. The parking garage will open at 4:30 pm. Cars have to be removed from the garage by 11:20pm. Overnight parking in the venue parking garage is not allowed. The Holiday Inn is close if you are staying there and would like to walk or Uber.

What is the bar situation?

Answer

Cocktail hour drinks will be on us. The reception will have a “cash” bar. The venue accepts cash or card to pay for the drinks. Drinks range between $4-9 approximately. Beer, wine, and liquor will be available. No outside alcohol is allowed due to the venue’s liquor license.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would like for our wedding to be a semi-formal event. However, we want our guests to be comfortable and confident throughout the evening. All we ask is that your outfit be at least one step above jeans.

Your wedding is in June…in Texas…how prepared do we need to be for the heat?

Answer

Good news! Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all inside one building. Outside of the short walk from the hotel or parking garage, you will be able to stay cool inside.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony is at 5pm. We ask that you arrive to the venue 15-30 minutes early. The doors to the venue will open 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.

What if we aren’t done celebrating after the reception ends at 11pm?

Answer

We will continue the celebration at B.U.S. (Bar Under the Sun) located at 702 N Chaparral Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401, about 1 block from The Bay Jewel. Please note this is the only part of the festivities that is outside, but it will be after 11pm so the Texas heat should be at a low simmer instead of boiling hot.

Are our kids welcome?

Answer

Yes absolutely! We love kids and think they bring so much fun to a wedding! If you would like to use our wedding as a date night, we also understand. There will be alcohol and explicit music so please make the best call for your family.
