We are so incredibly excited to celebrate with you all!!

We could arguably say this is one of the best love stories of all time, but we are biased :) Katelyn here to tell you our story! I was sitting at Bob Potempa's 60th birthday party with two of my best friends, Nikki Mikolajczak and Nora Wilkinson (Potempa) when Danny Potempa came over to talk with us. He was talking about his passion in becoming a Chicago Police officer and his experience in the training academy. In that moment I had the utmost respect and attraction to him. Later that night I pulled Nora aside and told her about my feelings for her brother and her response was "Oh my gosh, he has had a crush on you but I told him it was never going to happen because I didn't think you would be interested!" We laughed and she gave me her blessing! With some help from our liquid friend Patron, we gained the courage we needed to start talking that night #barrelroll. After that night, Danny and I exchanged numbers and our journey officially begun. Including; amazing date nights in the city of Chicago, introductions to our families and friends, numerous Cubs games and Blackhawks games, travels to Texas, Arizona, Minnesota, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Punta Cana, roomies for the past two years, and adopting our boxer pup Cooper, and much much more. Fast forward to September 7th, 2020; Danny, Cooper, and I were driving to Danny's parent's house in Frankfort for a Labor Day BBQ. On the way there Danny put on our love song (you'll hear it at the wedding!) and I asked him for the billionth time what was wrong since he was being so quiet all day. Little did I know, a short few minutes later he was down on one knee with Cooper, asking me to marry him!! Life together just makes perfect sense and we cannot wait to share our special day and days to come with you all!!
