In the day and age Facebook a love story was created. Connected through mutual friends, similar interests, few comments on each others post, and texts back and forth, the fire was lit and a friendship was born. After three years Jed never ask me out so I had to make the first move. I drove to Houston to meet the love of my life and he was going to meet the woman of his dreams, Who kissed who first? Jed would tell you it was him but I beg to differ. If it wasn't for me we wouldn't be where we are today. A few months later Jed made the move from Houston to Dallas and the best is yet to come. Kaya, my daughter, is a big part of our relationship. Jed is very excited to be a step father and be a family. Kaya is very appreciative to have him in our lives. She says she feels safe with him around and she likes to see me happy. The best part about Kaya and Jeds relationship is that they are very much alike. The good part about it is that they understand the other. It's fun to see them getting to know one another and soon we wont be 3 but 1. We love to travel as a family. We make it a point to get away once a month, to the beach in Galveston, Lake Texhoma, the Mountains in Arkansas to go Big foot hunting, Oklahoma to see family to visit Osage Country, weekend trips to Houston so see family, and take back roads when we can and pray that road will lead us to Tacos. What bonds us is our love of Powwows, our Native Culture and Religious beliefs. We are very grateful to come from families who practice traditional ways and think those things are very important. Jed is Coushatta and I am Osage/Cherokee. Even though we come from different Tribes we respect each others ways and are blessed to have families who love The Lord. We love and respect our families very much and we never forget the lessons they have taught us. Jed and I want to thank everyone for their love and support for this union. We are so happy to start our lives together as Husband and Wife.
