FAQs

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

Our reception will be held at Voyageur Environmental Center in Mound, MN. This is a Boys and Girls Club camp.

Question

When is the ceremony?

Answer

We were married on December 30th, 2022 in a small ceremony with our immediate families. There will not be a ceremony at our reception. We welcome you to arrive at any time.

Question

Should I bring anything?

Answer

In lieu of a traditional greeting card, consider bringing or mailing us a postcard of a place that is important to you. We hope to collect postcard messages from our guests so we can remember this special weekend forever! Please keep an eye on the various outdoor activities as we update the schedule. Keep in mind the unpredictability of September weather. If you would like to bring a yard game, board game, or snack or drink to share we welcome them all. Please no hard alcohol as this is a camp for children.

Question

What about severe weather?

Answer

The main lodge and all cabins are air conditioned in the event of extreme heat. We will have both indoor and outdoor activities available throughout the weekend. In the event of other inclement weather, immediately return to the lodge to seek shelter.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Yes! All are invited to attend! We do not have a cap on the number of guests. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Question

Can I drink?

Answer

Beer and wine can be consumed from 3-10 PM on Saturday and Sunday nights. Please note that we are required to have a security officer on staff in order for our guests to drink; therefore, we need to limit alcohol consumption to certain hours only.

Question

What activities are there?

Answer

We are excited to offer camp activities for our guests! Throughout the reception we will have games including lawn games, card games, board games, and children's games. There are walking trails open to explore the camp grounds and we will have bonfires and s'mores starting around sunset both nights. Canoeing is open from 2-4 PM and archery is available from 4-5 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Question

Where can I stay?

Answer

Group cabins are available during the reception weekend for those who would like to spend the night at camp. Please note that these cabins are shared bunks and private bedrooms are not available. Tent camping is another option for our guests. If you would like to stay in a tent, but are unable to bring camping equipment, please let us know and we can help to supply camping equipment.
