Wedding Party

Lucia Jacangelo

Maid of Honor

Lucia (chi, chia, cheees, cheech) is my beautiful, witty and crazy smart younger sister. We have come a long way since our days of playing doll house for 6+ hours a day and there is no one else I would rather have grown up with up as my little sis!! Some of my favorite mems with chia include our fam trips to Hawaii and Paris, watching home videos together, living together for three years while she aced law school, fighting (sorry chi) over clothes from ages 4-27, when we randomly have two hour phone calls, Tswift concert 2018, and all of the times she had made me laugh for hours on end. Talking points: How she'll one day marry Shaun White, the brilliance of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, or how much we love our fam.

Daniel Spino

Best Man

More handsome than Fabio, and with the soft, supple eyes of a Caribbean Sea. For four years in college, I got to be the other guy while everyone fawned over the pretty boy. But before that, Daniel was among the first people I ever met in Virginia, a fellow military brat who knew what it was like to try and make new friends every two years. The following year, it turned out that he had the same refined taste in music that I do, and we attended our first metal show together. And we have seen shows together every single year since. Our crowning achievement was in 2017 when we attended over 20 concerts in five different states, a record that I cannot wait for us to break. There is not a single thing in my entire life, from the absolute pinnacle of highs to crushing lows, I could have gone through without Daniel. He is as staunch, stalwart and grumpy as the Linc itself. Talking Points: We have to thread the needle when talking to him, he can neither be hangry nor too full! Make sure to mention that you remember when he supported the Flyers over the Caps, how Pudge will always be an icon, that Rocky is slightly overrated, anything about Star Wars, LotR, the Shining, or ask him about Nick Foles’ nickname.

Inecita Mercer

Bridesmaid

Inecita and I have been best friends, two peas in a pod, Inny and J partners in crime, each others other halves, for the past 10 years. Inny is a beautiful ray of sunshine and an amazing person and friend. I truly do not know what I would do without her! While I could write pages about all of the wonderful memories I cherish with Inecita, some favorites include our summer working together at Scoops2U, our bar crawl phase, the birthdays we have never missed celebrating with each other, our trip to wilmington, and being her maid of honor as she married the love of her life last year. Talking points: Her incredible traveling experiences, our shared love for always making sure we take photos or her pup Rio and how he loves the sun and warm weather *almost* as much as we do.

Brandon Hayes

Groomsman

Brandon looks like a tall and imposing lumberjack, but is as soft and warm as a blanket fresh out of the dryer. This young man defines gentle giant. I had fifteen glorious years as being the tallest brother, and then my world came crumbling down as puberty hit him like a dump truck. Brandon was married last year and now we have our family's first grandson! Like me, he loves scary movies but we are both scared of our own shadows, so if you ever have the misfortune of seeing a movie with us…be prepared. Brandon has grown completely into himself, and watching him become the person he is meant to be has been one of the biggest joys in my entire life. He is one of the most intelligent and hardest working people I have ever met, and he exceeds everything else with his kindness. I still can’t help seeing him as the scrawny little boy who would make us stop on our walks so that he could pick dandelions for our mom. Talking Points: Literally any movie, any music genre including…gulp- country, dogs – especially husky/labs, food, longboarding, and the pros and cons of drinking water before an all-day outdoor concert.

Rebecca Kush

Bridesmaid

Becca was my first friend when I joined Chi Omega in 2011 and has been one of my best friends (& forever lobster) ever since! Becca and I bonded during our countless hours spent at the Northern Neck Starbucks in college. Me studying, while she wrote paper after paper - this time together (with many weekend recaps and weekend planning breaks in between) became something we looked forward to every single week. Other favorite mems with Becca include hanging in her kitchen listening to our favorites, Kip Moore and Dierks, our Thursday night hangs in college, and ocean city girls trips. More than just the older sister I never had, Becca is beautiful inside and out and to know her is to love her. Talking points: Her love of reading, historical facts of any nature (particularly the pre-civil war era), or her adorable pup Mister.

Ian Stewart

Groomsman

Hey bear…it’s just Cody, bear. Ian has had the misfortune of planning our yearly trips with a group of the biggest procrastinators and worst communicators of all time. Ironically, we all work in communication-based jobs, but poor Ian would never know that. And in spite of all that, he has made every single trip life-changing, and memorable. Ian introduced me to climbing, hiking on actual glaciers, that I am a big waterfall guy, the finer points of Miller Lite, and that a power hour is a perfectly acceptable thing to do on a weeknight. This man lives for adventure, and the amount of 7/11 runs we have been on has only been exceeded by the number of walks down Hawthorne Street. He is the most thoughtful and considerate person I have ever met, and he always puts others first. The first time I ever snuck out of work early was to go climbing with Ian, and the first time a group of people from NOVA had ever watched LSU was when Ian kept stealing the remote and putting the game on for me. Talking Points: If you have the pleasure of speaking with Ramblin’ Stu, make sure you talk about Metallica, climbing, Brandon Sanderson books, jiu jitsu, if his heart is beating too fast to go to work, or how he should move back to Virginia.

Annie Sutherland

Bridesmaid

Annie and I have been best friends since the moment I met her 10 years ago. Although she was my "little" sister in college, I have always looked up to Annie in so many ways. She is the amazing kind of friend everyone should have in their life, and am so lucky to call her my best friend! Every memory I have with Annie has been truly wonderful, but some of my favorites include when we first bonded over our love for melon, painting coolers and drinking lemonades, when we each brought our own salads to a superbowl party, ocean city girls trips, our weekend visits to wineries, and seeing her become the most amazing Mama. Talking points: Her beautiful land and country living, her boys Henry and Copper, or our love for Chi fil A lemonades in college.

George Nicholls

Groomsman

Biting wit, devastating insults, iron-clad memory; this old timer speaks like Shakespeare and unfortunately resembles him as well. When you meet George for the first time, you are met with a quiet, respectful man. Get two IPAs in him… he will hit you with an insult from something you did in sixth grade, immediately ruining your buzz and ego. There is not a proud person that George has not humbled. In spite of his intelligence and troll-ability, George would gladly give you the shirt off his back, and is a proud friend of Jerry’s. I had the extreme privilege of attending a game at the NLCS and the World Series in Atlanta alongside him (both Braves wins) and there is not a single place he does not make better by being there. Much like ogres and onions, each layer you go through with George keeps making you happier. Talking Points: Start with his beloved JMU Dukes, how Mechanicsville is not Richmond, Dr. Dog, our Atlanta Braves, or any NFL player to have ever lived.

Colleen Mahoney

Bridesmaid

Colleen and I met at George Mason and although I did not meet her until senior year, I can honestly say that college (and every year since) would not have been the same (or as wonderful!) without her! Colleen is beautiful, genuine, kind and the definition of a true best friend and I am so lucky to have had her by my side these past 9 years! Although we do not live close to one another, Colleen and I share a for love traveling and some of my favorite memories with Colleen have been on our girls trips to Florida, NYC, Boston, Scottsdale, LBI, Savannah and Washington DC. No matter where we are or what we are doing, I never fail to have a smile on my face whenever I am hanging with Colleen. Talking points: Her sweet puppy Nash, life in New England, or our mutual love of Taylor Swift

Thomas Spino

Groomsman

Have you ever seen a bigger smile? Young Thomas has never met a person that is not his friend, and there is not a single person to have ever been upset with him. I am so proud to have watched him grow up from Brandon’s much smaller, much, much more talkative best friend, into an extremely great human being. Having a beer with Thomas is much like making the jump to hyperspace…we just do not know where we are heading, and there is someone talking incoherently. Often me, but more likely to be him. Also, during Brandon’s bachelor party, I made us miss our flight because apparently boarding passes are like hieroglyphics for me, and he could not have been nicer, calmer, or more understanding. If we are lucky, he may sing Hunger Strike like his idol Eddie Vedder. He is a scholar and gentleman, and Brandon’s exact equal in temperament, personality, relatability, and kindness. Talking Points: Make sure you bring up anything remotely related to the Vietnam war, Star Wars, LotR or anything about yourself since he is genuinely more interested in you than talking about himself.

Rachel Allegretto

Bridesmaid

Rach has been my best friend since the day she was born. Our dad's (also BFFs) were roommates in grad school so we have been lucky enough to know and love each other our entire lives. Rachel has been by my side during all of the best, hardest and most important moments of my life and I could not imagine a better friend! Some of favorite mems with Rach include making up skits with elaborate plot lines, weeklong summer sleepovers that included special trips to the Rainforest Cafe, entertaining ourselves in traffic on drives to the beach, attending George Mason together, coming home for fam dins during college (Rach is essentially the third Jac sister), happy hours at Courthaus Social, and walking in the door to see her every day after work when living together for three years. Talking points: Her amazing cooking skills (especially Gnocchi), her upcoming trip to Argentina, or how much I don't want her to ever move to Colorado.

Kate Campbell

Bridesmaid

Kate and I have been friends (and forever surfer sisters) our entire lives. Kate is one of the sweetest and funniest (and smartest...future Dr. Campbell here!) gals I have ever met. My favorite mems from our 30 years of friendship are shopping and Panera dates in Frederick as kids, putting together slideshows and making up songs to convince our moms that we should allowed to have a sleepover, our pink punk music video, 2010 spring break at OBX at ouuuurr apartment, and when she lived in Baltimore and frequented Arlington on weekends, our girls weekend in Atlanta, and every moment during 25+ weeks we have spent at the beach together over the years. Talking points: Any outdoor activity, her cleverly named plants, or how she always has the most adorable dogs spending time at her apartment.
