Let's Make It Official!

Jorge and I met in high school. I was a sophomore and he was the older, cooler upperclassman. I remember seeing him in the halls with his basketball buddies and I thought he was so cute, but I was always too shy to talk to him. I happened to be close friends with one of Jorge’s cousins, and that’s how we started spending time together. I thought he was the funniest, sweetest guy I had ever met. We went on a couple dates and the rest is history. 9 years later and we are still going strong!

Jorge and I had planned a trip to Colorado for our 8 year anniversary so I thought, and was hoping, that this would be the trip that he would propose. I was fishing for any clues and hints leading up to the trip. I would say things and wait to see Jorge’s reaction, but he was not budging! When my two best friends made a surprise visit to Colorado, then I thought for sure he was going to ask. But as the trip went on, and he still hadn’t popped the question, I started to think that it wasn’t going to happen. On the last day of our trip, we decided to go snowmobiling up to the continental divide. The trees and roads were white with snow, and the scenic mountain view was so beautiful! It looked like something off of a postcard. My best friend took my camera to take a picture of Jorge and I with the mountains in the background, and that’s when he got down on one knee. It was perfect. I literally fell to the ground and said YES! It was such an amazing way to end a great trip! We are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you!
