The day I met Judy, I tricked my buddies into coming to a "pool party," which was actually a salsa event. This was my first site of the girl in the red bikini, who would later become my wife.

On our very first date, I was two hours late stuck at work, but thankfully, Judy hung around for a great night and my best friend Luke was there to witness it all. Wild night fam!

On our second date, I borrowed a '57 Chevy film prop from work and took Judy up the Pacific Coast Highway top down, windows up! The diesel fumes weren't great but the craft brew made up for it.

On our first trip to Valle de Guadalupe, we took an impromptu hike behind a winery, got scratched up, and danced salsa at the summit to music playing from our phone. In that moment, I fell in love.

On our first Christmas together, we went off-roading into Guadalupe Canyon where we discovered the coolest natural hot spring campsite this side of the Rio Grande.

We adventured to the Galápagos Islands during the pandemic where we climbed volcanos, scuba dived with hammerheads, and witnessed 200yr old tortoises getting it on! #MarriageGoals

We went to visit my sister in Tulum over Judy's birthday and stayed at her eco-chic oceanside beach club, represented here by this organic, raw earth design, cenote powered outdoor shower.

Laguna Beach was our holy place on weekends where we bronzed, played paddle ball & nearly got swept to sea under a rip current. After nearly drowning my future wife, luckily, I was there to save her!

My view on date nights. In these moments, I am a distant, second love to my epicurean wife.

Judy's "me" time involves wearing a cold, damp, hockey mask and cuddle time. Little weird, but enjoyable.

During the dark days of the pandemic, Judy still put together a bangin' Cinco de Mayo party with jalapeño margaritas and tacos de lengua. She is definitely more Mexican than I am.

For Halloween, we dressed up as Frida Kahlo and Diego Riviera, famous Mexican painters and lovers.
The mustache is real. Sadly, the unibrow is not.

On my birthday, Judy showed me a picture of baby dingo with huge ears on Craigslist and I said, "Let's get her!" We named her Frida because she was wild and beautiful reminding us of Salma Hayek.

Frida had more energy than either of us could match, so we went searching for a little brother and future guard dog. We found this intimidating ball of fury and named him Diego after Frida's soulmate.

The Wolfpack

Approaching the US-MX border and running out of time, I dropped to a knee in the mountains of Tecate and pulled the trigger. Nothing went to plan that weekend except the "yes" part.

After going "all in" and losing everything (on purpose), I ended up gaining a wife; the ultimate jackpot of the night!
The End (and the beginning)
