There are some places that feel like home in more ways than one. For John and his family, that place has always been Mazara del Vallo, a beautiful seaside town on the southwest coast of Sicily. Mazara is where John’s late father, Corrado, was born and raised. For over 30 years, John and his family have spent every summer there, staying connected to their roots, their traditions, and to Corrado’s memory. It’s a place that holds so much love and meaning for the entire Sansone family. Tylere became part of that story in a way no one else ever had. She was the first and only girl John ever brought back to Sicily to meet his family, extended relatives, and lifelong friends. Bringing her to Mazara wasn’t just a trip; it was an invitation into something sacred. Over the past six summers, they’ve created traditions of their own — morning cappuccinos, afternoons on the beach, evenings filled with laughter and long dinners. What began as John’s special place slowly became hers, too. She fell in love not only with Sicily, but especially with Mazara just as the Sansone family always has. So when we began talking about where to get married, the answer felt obvious. There was no place that carried more meaning, more history, or more heart. Choosing Mazara del Vallo is our way of honoring Corrado, the man who began this story, and celebrating the family roots that continue to guide us. It’s our way of sharing the Sicily we love with the people we love most. Mazara del Vallo is not just where we’re getting married. It’s where our past, present, and future come together :)
