The first time John and Dana met; John delivered care packages to Dana because Dana was quarantining with COVID. While Dana sat on the front porch, John walked from the driveway to the porch, and then back to the driveway while he watched Dana open each care package from a distance. The care packages were filled with everything John thought Dana would like (candles, flowers, comfy socks wine, bath bombs, fresh produce, beer, candy, and more wine) based on what he knew about her from the few weeks they had been talking. The care packages must have worked, because a few days later, Dana still with COVID, Dana insisted on seeing John again and wanted to go see him at his house. So, Dana and John’s first date was a COVID friendly date consisting of kayaking (Dana forgot her air pump for her paddleboard), carving pumpkins, eating amazing BBQ that John cooked and Dana couldn’t taste, and John giving Dana a tour of his house while they were wearing KN95-Masks. A month later, after Dana got over COVID, and after hanging out many times. Dana and John went to a drive thru country concert (Dana’s favorite singer Jordan Davis). In the back of John’s truck’s tailgate, underneath the many blankets (it was 35 degrees out), and after the song “Detours” John asked Dana to be his girlfriend. 53 weeks later, with the help of Dana’s parents, John was able to surprise Dana at her family Cabin in Wisconsin (Dana thought John would surely be Deer Hunting), where John got down on his knee and asked the love of his life to spend the rest of her life with him…..she said yes. Dale and Donna also made the 8-hour trip and arrived 30 minutes after the proposal to give Dana another surprise and Greg, Dawn, Dale, Donna, Dana, and John spent the weekend together celebrating. 3 months later Dana and John bought their dream country home together and are building their future together with their big garden, fruit trees, and many animals-Dogs (Kasia & Perseus), -Cat (Eddie), Goats (Dawn & Donna),- 13 chickens, and 3 Kune Kune pigs (Dale, Dolly, and Ruby).
