Our story is a classic COVID romance. We met online through Bumble. Texts quickly turned into long calls and within a few days, we met for our first date at Avon Town Hall Park. We took Boomer, John’s dog, on a long walk. Clara was smart and brought Boomer a pup cup from Starbucks to buy his love (she later realized this wasn’t necessary-Boomer loves everyone). Neither of us were nervous for very long. It was like meeting a long-lost-friend. The date went so well, we decided to meet for another walk at a different park 2 days later. We officially became a couple on September 18, 2020.

John’s account: Upon meeting Clara, I knew this was a once in a lifetime love that I wanted to hold onto forever. On Christmas Day 2021, I promised to do just that when I got down on one knee and proposed to the love of my life, Clara Valentine, surrounded by loved ones. Christmas will now always hold a special place in our love story.
