In fairytale fashion, fate brought them together. Joel dropped and lost his I.D. card on campus. After wandering in that building she rarely entered, Hope found it and messaged Joel on Facebook to return it... ...What are the odds?

After going on dozens of dates, trudging through growing pains and learning each other's ins-and-outs, they became official. And so began the journey on the road to the future unknown.

Their blissful relationship faced a tough challenge. After Joel landed a dream job in New York City, Hope was beginning her junior year of college in California, which meant long distance was about to become reality. Even though they had only been dating for 3 months, they knew they had something special deep down. However, going from nearly 95% of their days spent in arms-reach to 10% was no easy feat. All they had were the text messages, Skype calls, phone calls, and short visits that often totaled 48 hours. Looking back, this season was clearly a blessing in disguise for the both of them. Their voices drew each other in and interwove them closer than they could ever imagine.
