Jodi + Joe are getting Hitcheled

We met at Western Kentucky University (GO TOPS!), but neither remember when or where. We were in the same degree program, worked together at WKYU-PBS and ran in the same friends group. After college, Joe moved back to Indiana and Jodi took a five-year hiatus to Cincinnati. Eventually, we would both find ourselves living in Nashville.

In retrospect, we realize our first date was on September 8, 2018, at Chauhan Ale & Masala House. Neither knew it was a date at the time. Jodi realized soon after that they were dating. Joe, however, wouldn't realize for a few weeks.

Joe proposed at home after walking Rocky, surrounded by candles and flowers. As he was getting on one knee and pulling out the ring, Rocky started licking Joe's hand and threw him off. Rather than asking Jodi to marry him, he asked Rocky if he could marry his mom. Jodi excitedly said yes. Rocky has not responded.
