It’s June of 2020. Bars & restaurants have been closed for 3 months. Lexie - eager to make money, picked up a shift at Ringer’s Roost. Joey - anxious about leaving the house headed to Ringer’s with his family for some liquid therapy. Lexie saw Liayn (Joey’s mom) sit at a table in another server’s section and asked her to switch tables to catch up with Liayn. After a few (lol) drinks, a mutual friend (Brooke) of Lexie & Liayn’s arrives at Ringer’s. Liayn asks Brooke if Lexie is single and Brooke replies yes! Brooke asks Lexie what she thinks of Joey. Lexie replies that she thinks Joey is cute, even after an impressive amount of lagers. Liayn excitedly invites Lexie over to her house the following week. Lexie doesn’t think much of the invite and moves on with her shift. The next morning, Lexie gets a friend request from Liayn on Facebook and a message confirming that Lexie would come over. Lexie convinces her two friends, Sam and Jt, to join her on this unique night out. A very oblivious Joey is enjoying a beverage by the pool and had no idea what his mom had planned. The group hangs out all night and when Sam and Jt are ready to leave, Lexie decides to stay to spend a little more time with Joey. From that moment, it’s always been Lexie & Joey. Since those moments, Lexie and Joey have been inseparable. They became roommates, bought their first home (thanks to the same Brooke), adopted three perfect angel kitties (Ivy, Bleu, and Werley), and traveled to 5 different countries and multiple US spots.
