Shuttle
April 11, 2026 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Because parking is unavailable at The Redwood Grove Amphitheatre, where the wedding ceremony will take place, United Coach Tours shuttle service has been arranged for transportation from The Graduate Hotel in Berkeley to the Redwood Grove and back and then to the Albany Veterans Memorial Hall for the reception. There's parking at the AVMH, but the shuttle service there is for anyone who would prefer NOT to drive. Everyone'll be responsible for transportation after the reception. Note: The shuttle seats only 56 passengers. All guests have free admission to The Berkeley Botanical Garden (across the street from The Redwood Grove), so you may enjoy the flora if you have time while waiting for the ceremony or shuttle. Here's the shuttle schedule: 2pm: departs The Graduate for The Redwood Grove 2:30pm: departs The Graduate for The Redwood Grove 4pm: departs The Redwood Grove for The Graduate 4:30pm: departs The Redwood Grove for The Graduate 5pm: departs The Graduate for Albany Veterans Memorial Hall 5:30pm: departs The Graduate for Albany Veterans Memorial Hall
Hotel
We have reserved a block of rooms at The Graduate Hotel in Berkeley. It's the best deal in town, a well-designed budget boutique hotel with a varsity theme and a wall of old National Geographics at the reception (Go magazines!). The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and it's close to all the action. Click on the "View" button below to access the group rate. If you have a problem reserving beyond the dates or want a larger room, email John-Mario and we will help. J-M's email: johnmario.sevilla@gmail.com
Flight
There are two airports to access, but the closest to the wedding and reception is Oakland International Airport (OAK). It is a 25 minute Uber/Lyft ride to the hotel. However if the fare is cheaper to fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO), it is only a 45 minute ride to the hotel. Good news! Once you're here, everything for weekend is within a 15-minute ride/drive.
Hotel
1920s Neo-Gothic & -Moorish hotel with cool pool and gym designed by the legendary architect Julia Morgan (she of the Hearst Castle). Rates are reasonable for the chateau-y vibe.
Hotel
The swankiest choice around. 22-acre resort and spa (with fab tennis courts) in the Berkeley hillside.
