Thompson Hollow Swimming Hole

We’re going on a short hike to a swimming hole in Shenandoah National Park! Meet us at the Pavilion at 10:30am, where we’ll be making bagged lunches, for departure together around 11:15am. The trailhead is a 35 minute drive north from Shenandoah Woods, and not in the heart of the park, so you don’t need a park pass. The trail is a pretty flat mile to a few connected swimming holes and some nice spots to lounge. At the trailhead, there’s parking for about 10 cars - please carpool if possible! Do NOT block the road or proceed up the private dirt road with your vehicle. If you’d like to join, but can't carpool out with us, let us know. You can find the trailhead by putting Thompson Hollow Trailhead Parking, Bentonville, VA in your GPS. Our Wedding!

4:30 pm

3:00: Tisches will be held at Chadwick Cabin We are adapting an old Jewish tradition, with a twist. In our wedding, we will each host our own tisch surrounded by friends and family (of all genders) to get us ready to enter into marriage. Katie’s tisch will be in the living room of Chadwick Cabin, Sam’s will be held just outside by the hot tub pavilion. Katie’s tisch will be for toasts and singing. Sam’s tisch will feature the tradition of a groom’s speech which the group is not supposed to let him finish, along with toasts and roasts. The tisches are optional; feel free to join us shortly afterwards for the ceremony. 4:30: Wedding Ceremony Our ceremony will be held in the outdoor chapel next to the Pavilion. 5:30: Cocktail Hour Join us at the Pavilion for cocktails and appetizers before dinner and dancing. 6:30-11: Dinner, Dancing, and Reception

9:30 am

Coffee will be served starting at 8:30am. Fresh cider, donuts, and a bagel spread will be served from 9:30am to 11:30am.
