Friends and family, We hope all of you are doing well and staying healthy. We recognize that some of you probably have questions about why we chose to cancel after postponing twice last year. It was not a decision we made lightly or without a lot of heartache. Truly, we have been looking forward to the "big party" for a long time! (And the open bar.. and cake.) We are so sorry for all of the changes. While we felt a city-wide lockdown or mask mandate here was unlikely this time around, with all of the available information surrounding the Delta variant, and the numbers of Covid cases in Austin, we did not feel we could in good conscience have our loved ones gather in a big group. Many people we care about are at increased risk. Unfortunately, at this point, we did not have the option to change dates again with our vendors either. Both of these factors led to our decision to cancel altogether this time around. It's a huge bummer. But it felt like the right thing to do. As far as the future for us, we were already legally married on October 4th, 2020, so that part is taken care of! We aren't sure at this point if we will ever get to have a party, reception, or a celebration of that - maybe sometime in the future. This year, we are going to be taking the shared last name of Myers-Veo. Warm regards, Jessica & Jestin
We legally married 364 days prior to 10/3/21. Unfortunately, we were forced to postpone the party we were so looking forward to due to circumstances at the time. Here we are one year later, and we so hope you can finally join us for our "real" wedding and in celebrating our marriage!
