Meet the Ladies

Carla Lee – Lau

Matron of Honor

Carling’s older sister (JeJe in Chinese) will be flying in all the way in from Singapore for the wedding. Carla showed Carling the ropes growing up and took care of her while their parents worked at the restaurant. As big sis, Carla taught Carling what to wear, the best food to eat, and who to stay away from. Due to Carla's impeccable style and logistical expertise, she has been tasked with helping Carling design and make her wedding dress in Singapore! Carla is married to Charlie, and they have two beautiful children, Logan and Esme.

Kelly Gannon Flynn

Bridesmaid

Kelly is Jay’s older sister who lives in DC. Carling knew she would get along with Kelly when they first met and proceeded to gang up on Jay together, on cue (Jay quickly got over it). Kelly is incredibly thoughtful and considerate and has been a huge help to wedding planning, including this website! Carling is lucky to gain such a wonderful new sister. Kelly is married to Asa, and they have two precious children, Jane and Jack.

Jennifer Nossaman

Maid of Honor

Jennifer is Carling’s oldest friend- since 5th grade! They awkwardly figured out middle school together, coached each other through high school, and continue to remain great friends. Jenn and Carling share lots of fun core memories that have shaped who Carling is today and how she spends time with her friends. Jenn lives in California, so she’s not always around, but when she is, their friendship and conversations pick-up like they've been living next door to each other for years. Jenn is getting married in November, and Carling is so excited to be in her wedding too!

Kaitlin Casadaban

Kaitlin and Carling grew up together, but they truly became the best of friends following each other’s college and law school graduation. Kaitlin and Carling discovered New Orleans together as young adults; they made lots of friends, had lots of laughs, and created great memories – they even went to Hong Kong together! Kaitlin happens to be the younger sister of Jay’s best man, Will. It was at Kaitlin’s wedding that Jay and Carling really got to know each other and sparked. Kaitlin is married to James, and they have a baby boy, JJ. He just started crawling!

Courtney Kotler

Courtney and Carling grew up together – she is the youngest sister of both bridesmaid Kaitlin and Jay’s best man, Will. Courtney attended Loyola for undergrad while Carling was studying there for law school. As young adults, they quickly realized that they share the same love of fun experiences at events and festivals... and also GLITTER. Courtney and Carling have coached each other through life’s obstacles, both personal and professional (including late-night fast food dilemmas!)

Victoria Todd

Victoria and Carling met each other in law school and quickly bonded over their love of odd foods, travel excursions, and costumes. Their friendship grew when studying abroad, where they took a random ferry to a random town and stumbled upon a wine festival…before even figuring out where they would sleep for the night. Vic and Ling still go on adventures together; taking annual trips, where they search for the best sushi places in town that serve fresh uni and wasabi. They also continue trying to learn moderation from each other. Victoria is married to Hays, who has saved their lives at least a dozen times. Hays is also mom to little Napoleon.

Avery Foret

Avery and Carling met each other in law school and became the best of friends, despite being polar opposites. Avery is often the organized brain keeping Carling on a schedule...as we all know she's often late due to over-committing. They are also great travel buddies, finding random places to explore and curious things to look at. Carling cherishes the long phone chats they used to have about the most random things – motivating each other both personally and professionally. These days, the talks are quick because she is often chasing her two adorable children, Brighton and Jamison. It's a family affair because Brighton and Lee, Avery's husband are also in the wedding too!

Fallon Brown

Fallon and Carling met at a party Fallon was hosting a few years ago. Fast forward and Fallon moved away for residency, allowing Carling to live in her house while Carling's current house was being renovated. Now, Fallon lives next to Carling and Jay as Fallon renovates her house. Fallon helps take care of the house, the parties, and our skin (...we not-so-secretly hope she never leaves)! Fallon and Carling share their love for Costco, dogs, food, and lazy Sundays together. Fallon is mom to the spunkiest yorkipoo, Luna.

Ladies in Waiting

These ladies are Carling's hype women. Blair, Mathilde, and Liz are friends from law school. They realized they would be immediate friends becuase they are all YES people. Liz isn't necessarily the biggest YES person, but her love for a good time is strong and she can't resist our shenanigans. Jody is part of the law school family eventhough she didn't go to law school and definitly part of Carling's family. Ms. Shirley calls Jody for things when she can't get in touch with Carling. Jody has even helped take Restaurant Safety Certifications for Ms. Shirley when Carling couldn't. From bar exams to bars on frenchmen they have been there every step of the way with laughter and love. It takes a village to do life sometimes and Carling certainly has them to thank for survival!

William Maxwell Kotler

Best Man

Will was one of Jay's first contacts when starting medical school. They ended up living together where they spent long nights studying, having responsible beverages, and Virginia Tech and University of Miami banter. William is a native to New Orleans and grew-up with Carling. He eventually introduced the two to one another and has remained best friends to both of them since.

Lee Foret

Groomsman

Lee and Jay have many parallels in life. When they met they became fast easy friends. He is also a doctor, is married to a lawyer (and all that comes with that), also a struggling golfer, and is a neighbor of Jay and Carling. He was clearly destined to become one of Jay's closest friends the first time they met and discovered they had so much in common.

Jordan D'Ambrosio

Jay and Jordan met the first day in college when they got written up together for playing beer pong in their dorm. They formed a tight bond which has taken them all over the country together following Virgina Tech football. Jay was a groomsman in Jordan's wedding five years ago. He and his wife Megan now live in Columbus, Ohio.

Preston Dasch

Preston and Jay met in Orlando, Florida through a mutual friend who set them up on a blind bro date to play golf. They are extremely competative with one another but always manage to have a ton of laughs for all 19 holes. Preston is engaged to Hayley and they are parents to their dogs Mia and Dexter.

Max Urquhart

Groomsman

Max and Jay were pledge brothers for Delta Chi. They have shared countless fraternity memories and good laughs desperately trying to catch their flights home for weekend or holidays. They have remained extremely close over the past fifteen years. Max lives in Denver, Colorado with his Australian Shepard, Blue.

Obi Chakra

Groomsman

Obi and Jay attended medeical school togher. They didn't know each other that well for a time, but they soon figured out that they had aparments directly across the hall from each other back in Charlotte, North Carolina. This led to them spending long days studying together for board exams. Obi lives with his family in Augusta, Georgia and Jay is still trying to get him to play golf with him.

David Leblanc

David is originally one of Carling's friends in New Orleans. Jay and David became good friends during quarantine as David lived up the street from them and used part of their house as his home office. David taught Jay the ropes when he moved to New Orleans, sharing crawfish boil secrets and advice on quarantining with Carling. They also share similar interest for football and dad jokes.

Will Feltus

Will and Jay were also pedge brothers and they lived togher throughout college. They have been to hundreds Hokie games, played endless hours of fifa and drank even more beers together. Will lives in California but his mom and grandmother live in New Orleans, hopefully we will get to see him more often.
