Jackie and Lalo met playing pick up soccer in San Clemente in 2012. Over the last ten years they traveled to Chicago, Las Vegas, Florida, and Colorado. Their favorite things to do are weekly date nights, watching movies, running, working out at the gym, taking road trips, going to the beach, shopping, going to concerts, playing board games, going to breweries, and best of all attending family gatherings.

On a particularly clear and beautiful evening during Valentine's day weekend, Lalo had the idea to go to the Montage Beach to watch the sunset and take some photos. Thinking we’d just walk on the sand a ways and snap photos on our phones as we do often, I dressed casually. Soon after we arrived, I knew that this sunset would be one for the books... though I didn’t know just how special it would be! The sky was lit up with a rainbow of colors, streaking the clouds with violet hues above our heads that cascaded to a burnished orange glow at the waterline. We were both admiring the captivating view when Lalo knelt -- and I knew this perfect moment was the one I had been waiting for. He asked, “Will you marry me?” and of course I said “YES!!”
