Jeanette and Jason met in college through a mutual friend. Their first encounter was at the campus Starbucks where Jeanette was working. During one of her shifts, Jason stood in line waiting to order his coffee. Their friend, who was working the same shift saw Jason and purposely asked Jeanette to take over the register. Jeanette did not think twice and took his order. After seeing each other at Starbucks a few more times, their friend eventually introduced them to each other. They talked everyday, and one day in April of 2015, Jason asked Jeanette to be his girlfriend. And here we are, years later, looking back, it's crazy to think it all started with a chance meeting at Starbucks.

In July 2023, Jason told Jeanette that he had planned a trip to Nantucket, MA for her birthday. But secretly, Jason had other plans. He planned a private boat tour around the Island, 15 minutes before the scheduled tour, it started to rain and Jason got nervous. The boat would not sail if it rained and Jason worried that it wouldn't go as planned. Luckily, the rain stopped and the sun came out. They went on this beautiful little sailboat and as they were sailing around the island, Jason got down on one knee. If you want to know what Jeanette's actual response was... you gotta ask her ;)
