How we met

Tyler & Jasmine initially met at a mutual friend’s bowling party in mid-2018. They exchanged nothing more than “Hi, nice to meet you” and left that night unaware that the other had a crush on them. A few months later, they happened to “match” on the online dating app Tinder. Jasmine tried to play it cool and messaged Tyler first, asking “hey you look very familiar but I’m not sure where i know you from?” She knew exactly where she knew him from. They exchanged a few more messages, met halfway for their first date at Red Robin, and the rest is history!

The Proposal

Since Tyler and Sara moved from CO to WA, the Barons had a tradition of celebrating Christmas at their vacation home in Kingston. On Christmas 2020, Tyler and Jasmine spent the first half of the day at Jasmine’s parent’s in Renton and then headed up to Edmonds to catch the Ferry. Just next to the Kingston Ferry Terminal, Mike Wallace Park is covered head to toe in Christmas lights and decorations. Tyler had his family scope the park out on Christmas Eve to find the ideal proposal spot. Just his luck, it started pouring rain the minute they arrived in Kingston! Thinking on the fly, they made it seem like it was important they get family photos at the park even though it was freezing and raining. They pretended to take some as a family, and then left Tyler and Jasmine alone and he got down on one knee! They went back to the house, toasted apple cider to celebrate, and lived happily ever after ;)
