When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 2, 2025. After this date, we are not able to accommodate those who have not RSVP'd. Thank you for understanding! When sending your RSVP on this website, please enter your full name exactly as it appears on your invitation. Don't forget to put your favorite song you'd like to hear during the reception!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are requesting cocktail (or similar) attire. Please do not wear any white clothing to allow us to stand out on our special day!

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is parking on site at our venue. Guests are not permitted to park on the grass. It is a gravel parking lot with a brick pathway leading up to the ceremony/reception building. The ceremony will be in a flat grassy area, weather permitting. Vehicles are allowed to stay at the venue overnight, but need to be removed before noon the following day (Sunday, September 14). No RVs or overnight camping on the venue's property.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Our venue has a shuttle service that can provide transportation to and from anywhere within Preston. Please visit the 'Shuttle & Travel' tab for details. The shuttle will run continuous laps for one hour prior to the ceremony between 2:30pm and 3:30pm. The shuttle will also run for the last two hours between 8:30pm and 10:30pm.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are doing a buffet-style dinner. Although no special requests can be made by our guests, we will have a few options that are set by the caterer for those who eat gluten-free.

Can I bring a date or plus one?

Answer

We have individualized each invitation. We are unable to add additional guests to our list. Kindly adhere to the specific names on your invitation. Thank you in advance!

What is an "Unplugged Ceremony"?

Answer

We are asking everyone to please turn their phones off during the ceremony. We know, you want to take every photo opportunity possible to cherish the memories! However, we would like you to be fully present during our ceremony, and let our photographer and videographer take care of the rest! Feel free to post on social media using the hashtag #GetYourSpurgeOn, or tag us, so we can easily find our photos later!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Our ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. Please arrive no later than 3:45pm.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Aside from the five options we have provided under the 'Shuttle & Travel' tab on this website, the closest cities that have hotels include Lanesboro and Harmony, Minnesota. There are no rooms blocked in either of these cities. The venue shuttle will not go to these locations, as they are outside of Preston. Please make reservations well in advance to secure your room and request an early check in. If you decide to book a room somewhere that we do not have rooms booked at, and it is within Preston, please let us know so we can make sure the shuttle comes to pick you up!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! However, we will have a photographer and videographer on site throughout the entire day and evening. Please be mindful of where your children are and how they are conducting themselves. During the ceremony or speeches, if anyone decides to be vocal, we kindly request that you please step away. There will be plenty of outdoor space on the property to stretch little legs, so we appreciate you looking after them closely throughout your entire time with us! Do your kids have to come just because they are on the invitation? Absolutely not! We want everyone to be able to attend, so if that means bringing your kids, then we welcome them. If you want a night to yourselves without your children, that is okay too!
