Oscar introduced Janie to real Mexican culture, the sin of throwing food away, how to open a locked door with a credit card, the difference between Marvel and DC, and how to fold a towel (hamburger, hamburger, mini hot dog, mini hot dog). It was destiny that these two would fall in love. The magic moment came on August 28, 2017, three years to the day of their first date. Oscar got down on one knee and popped the question (even though he almost forgot to actually ask) at the Plaza de Espana in Seville, Spain. In true Janie fashion, the first words out of her mouth were, "Oh, you think you're funny?" She couldn't imagine what kind of animal would take his girlfriend to the other side of the world and pretend to propose. Lucky for her, he wasn't joking. Lucky for him, she said yes. Family and friends congratulated the couple with a resounding "Finally!"
