We’re Getting Married!

Fate intervened when Janay and David bumped into each other for the first time at a mutual friend’s gathering. It is safe to say that no one, not even Janay or David, would have believed that within one year their lives would drastically change and they would soon be inseparable. They had both grown comfortable with their single, free-spirited, and independent lives that when these two spirits connected it was nothing short of God’s plan. Soon after their first encounter… Janay, being the non-traditional and outgoing woman that she is, took a leap of faith and connected with David on social media. Not only did this amaze David, but he was taken back by being approached by such a beautiful, stunning, over-confident woman.

Their first date was nothing short of magical. They went to sing karaoke and if anyone knows Janay, they would know that Janay is not the karaoke type. However, something happens when a person is connected with their soulmate. As David would say it, “She turned into Beyoncé!” Neither one of them wanted the night to end. This was the start of a beautiful friendship. They could talk to each other about anything, they laughed together, cried together, and gave each other relationship advice. It was the type of friendship that neither one of them had ever had before. Spending all of their time together, growing closer each day, and learning that they were alike in more ways than they could’ve ever imagined. Everyday brought a new adventure for Janay and David.

David fell in love… He gained a special respect and admiration for this driven, strong, beautiful, smart, kind woman. She had seen, endured, and persevered through so much, and yet still walked around with a crash-causing smile. David had no idea what it felt like to have a soulmate until he met Janay. David’s feelings for Janay became stronger every day and soon he could not stop thinking about her. Janay made David feel like it was ok to be himself all the time. It just made sense. Janay fell in love… She had never been swept off her feet like this before. Around David she could be her absolute self. The way David made her feel was worth the wait. A Princess knows she has to kiss a couple frogs before reaching her Prince. Janay had never been so intrigued by a man like this before. David had all the qualities in a man that Janay had gave up looking for. Finally a man who reminded her of her father. A man who was funny, hard-working, caring, and could put up with her attitude while respecting her. The longing to talk, see, and just be around each other consumed the both of them. They both felt like they could really be themselves around each other. Their spirits connected and their hearts matched. Janay and David had found their soulmate in each other.

This union will become one under God and the adventures of Janay and David will continue on forever.
