We're getting married!

Rachel and Jake's love story started in their hometown of Maple Valley, in high school. They have been together for over 7 years! Rachel was a grade above Jake, and also their Principals daughter (Ha!) They ran in the same friend group but Jake always had a big crush on Rachel. It took Rachel over a year, and quite a few high school dances, to fall for Jake as more than just a friend. Jake is famous for his elaborate proposals during high school dances (and the engagement proposal lived up to his fame). Their love and friendship have grown so strong over the years, but even back in high school, they knew they'd end up getting married. Speaking of getting married... THE PROPOSAL! Rachel and Jake have talked about getting married since they were in high school but knew they wanted to wait until they were finished with school. Spring of 2021, Jake graduated with his undergrad and Rachel with her master's. So, for a grand celebration, they planned a two-week road trip around Utah’s National Parks! Reflecting back, Jake said he wasn’t sure exactly where he’d pop the question on the trip, he was waiting for the time to be just right. Well, when they arrived at Arches National Park they both felt "heart eyes" about it. They did a sunset hike to Delicate arch, and after hours of exploring around the arch, Jake took Rachel underneath the arch, got down on one knee, and asked Rachel to marry him! Of course, she said yes! They hiked down the mountain with their headlamps on under the stars. They ended the night by eating a Wendy’s burger and fries (since all the restaurants were closed by then) and calling their families to share the happy news! We can't wait for our wedding day and continue to add to our happy memories!

You've seen it all... from our high school years, many dance proposals, distance relationship years during college and grad school, getting our puppy Camper, starting new jobs, our engagement, and now we want you there for our biggest day yet! It has been the best and happiest 7 years. We love that so many of you have been there to take a part in it. We would be honored to share this next chapter with you, OUR WEDDING DAY!
