Ours is a classic love story that began how so many have begun "for centuries." That's right, a swipe on technology brought us together! During several thoughtful, fun, and engaging dates, we quickly realized that in each other we found what we had been searching for-- someone who has a heart after God and is kind, honest, supportive, driven, and has a teachable heart. We each found someone who shared similar values and similar interests (including a love of arcades, bookstores, travel, good food, and most importantly a love of football--but don't get it twisted...we are still going to be house divided).

It was a brisk November evening, on day 2 of a week-long trip to fulfill Ivana’s dream to ice skate at the Rockerfeller Center. It was at this iconic rink, in the middle of Manhattan, that Doug "fell” on the ice (like he fatefully fell for Ivana those two and a half years prior). He only needed to get back to one knee to ask Ivana to be a part of his forever. Once she heard those words, she was overwhelmed with joy and Ivana wholeheartedly gave her easiest yes. As fate would have it, during this adventure, they met a friend along the way that turned the story of their dream night into an article for Today.com.
