Let the countdown begin!

In what could only be described as an unlikely match brought together by Divine Will, the odds against them ever knowing one anther were grim from the beginning. Although they both originate from small home-towns, being 3,738 miles apart, they should never have met. Nicola – born and raised in Dunblane, Scotland – was searching for an opportunity to develop her golf skills in America. Meanwhile, Hunter was desperately searching for anywhere in the world to take him from his hometown of Bristol, TN. Finally (or should I say, fortunately), with no more options left, his only resort was to go to the tiny, local, private University. But, wouldn’t you know that of all the offers Nicola could have accepted from across the nation, she chose to play for a small private school located in, none other than, Bristol. Their story began on the beautiful campus of King University nearly four and a half years ago. It was only a matter of time before they met, because one of the great benefits of small Universities is that, on some level, everyone knows everyone. Several weeks into their first semester, the entire Freshman class was loading up for a three-day trip to Washington D.C. Nicola and her friends had loaded up and chosen their seats on a bus well before departure. Hunter, on the other hand, was running well behind schedule (some things never change). Rushing frantically onto the only bus that had seats left, Hunter and his motley crew settled down behind a group of golfers. Once the journey began, the conversations began to flow and to Hunter, there was one voice that stood out amongst the rest – the beautiful sound of an angel (with a Scottish accent). What originally was just an educational trip, suddenly became much more interesting! The two grew very fond of one another running around the streets of the nation’s Capital together and that was the beginning of their relationship - a relationship that hasn’t stopped growing since. So, here's to being late...
