We met in Virginia in the Fall of 2019. I (Benjamin) saw Rachel performing at an open mic night - due to her gorgeous voice and the fact that she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen, I had to immediately ask the table worker for her name. After I got in touch with her (I.e. waiting for a few days to DM her so I didn't come off as creepy), we began working on music together and became fast friends. We went back and forth having secret feelings for each other (there is still some dispute on who felt what at which times), but began seriously talking about starting a romantic relationship when we were separated and forced to go home due to the Covid-19 pandemic (we know, ANOTHER Covid-couple). As we got to know each other, we fell in love with each others' many similarities (and MANY differences) and began dating when we moved back to Virginia in 2020. Since then, it's been 2 years of laughs, adventures, making music, traveling, loving, and supporting one another in everything we do. We couldn't be more excited for this next season of life together and we are so stoked to celebrate it with all of you on January 2nd (and forever!).
