Joey and Katie both attended The University of South Carolina at the same time, however they would not meet for many years later. Katie moved back home to Charlotte, NC from Austin, TX and happened to buy a condo that backed up to a particularly cute neighbor. Although it took a few months for them to formally meet, their mutual connections made them fast friends. One day, Joey sought Katie’s physical therapy advice due to his “back pain” and a first date was in the works before the night was over.
