What should I expect from a Catholic Wedding Mass Ceremony?
Answer
There is a lot of sitting and standing during a Catholic Mass. As a general guideline, if you see others sitting/standing/kneeling, you should do the same as well. There will be many Catholics in attendance, so follow their lead. If you are not Catholic, you should stay in your pew while others take Communion. What is the dress code?
Answer
The dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception is semi-formal/dressy casual. Women should wear a dress, skirt with a nice top, or a nice pant suit. Men should wear a dress shirt and pants. Ties are optional. The dress code for the welcome hour is casual. Come as you are!

Are children and plus ones permitted?
Answer
All children and plus ones have been included on the invitation. When you RSVP through our website, all guests within your party will be listed.

Is transportation provided?
Answer
No, you will need to provide your own transportation to the venues. Rental cars, Uber, and Lyft are all available in the area. All venues are within 15 - 20 minutes of each other. The Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Summerville and Residence Inn by Marriott Charleston Summerville are within walking distance of each other and restaurants/shops.

Is there parking at the wedding ceremony and reception?
Answer
Yes, at Saint John the Beloved, there is limited parking on the road and a large parking lot behind the church. At Del Webb Charleston at Nexton Amenity Center, there is a large parking lot in front of the building.

Is there an open bar?
Answer
Yes, there will be an open bar during cocktail hour and reception. Guests will be able to pay for their drinks at the after party at Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Summerville.

Where do I RSVP?
Answer
Once available, you will RSVP through the RSVP tab at the top of our website. All guests names within your party will be included. Please RSVP to all events by April 6, 2024.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony at Saint John the Beloved Catholic Church begins at 1:00 pm. We kindly ask all guests to arrive at the venue by 12:30 pm and in their seats by 12:45 pm.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
We will have a buffet style dinner at the reception. We have meat and vegetarian options available to guests. If you have an additional concern, please email us at teefeyguniowedding@gmail.com.
