Jennie had just moved to DC and was throwing a housewarming party at her new apartment when Garrett and a group of fellow Marines rolled through to the party (shout out to Chandler Marcus for making the connection). Over the course of the evening, Garrett became absolutely captivated by the (very quiet) red head Californian as they talked about their mutual love of San Diego. Jennie was equally smitten with this fast-talking New Yorker and kept her eye on him all evening from across her tiny apartment. Unfortunately, it took Garrett until the very end of the evening to ask for her number but she happily obliged. After the first couple of dates, both Jennie and Garrett knew that this was something special and the rest is history!

After a long day of building Ikea furniture, Garrett was finally able to convince Jennie that they needed to head out for dinner. The two hopped on their bikes, took the ferry over to Coronado and biked to the beach where Garrett had told Jennie that a group of friends was waiting for them. Instead, Garrett got down on one knee and asked Jennie to marry him! I guess she said yes, because you're on our wedding website!

I would like to make it known that no one asked my permission for this wedding. I guess I vaguely remember the Man with the Chewy Gloves asking about "marrying" my Ma....but I think I got distracted by a potato chip (this happens often). But then again, I'm not opposed to the marriage and I’ve always wanted a Pa! The Man gives out many pats, "good boys", lets me sleep on his couch (Ma won't let me), and will play hours of fetch with me. Therefore, I give my blessing to this wedding. Squirrel!
