Question
What to expect at this wedding?
Answer
Jeremy and I are so excited for each one of you to attend our wedding. Because we both have been married before, it is a low-key celebration of love with all of our favorite people. We will have a short (like 10-15 minute ceremony) officiated by one of our closest friends. Then we will have a cocktail hour while we take a couple minutes to soak in being married, and get some pictures. Then the DJ will play everyone's favorites as we party the night away, until 10 due to town ordinances. We decided we didn't want the formalities of things like a sit down fancy dinner (plus we want you to bring your kids if you are so inclined, or make it a date night if you would rather not). We aren't doing a cake, because lets face it so few people even eat it. Our children love Mama Birds Ice Cream, so we decided to let them cater the dessert. We will also have something for the lactose intolerant, because not everyone loves Ice Cream.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony
Answer
We recommend 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony, which is at 5 o'clock.
Question
What is the dress code?
Answer
We are not the fashion police, come comfortable. We do hope you will dress up and enjoy the occasion with us, but it is also July in NC. We are just happy for you to be there. We would not recommend stiletto heels, as the deck has some space between planks, and stilettos can get caught in between.

Will the ceremony, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Ceremony is out on the deck over the lake. The Reception will be inside the conference room adjacent to the deck.

What type of food and drink will be served during the reception?
Answer
After the ceremony there will be a cocktail hour with Beer, Wine, Champagne. For light snack the caterer will have Turkey with cream cheese pinwheels and Seasoned BBQ meatballs. There will be a fruit and cheese Charcuterie as well. We are doing a buffet style dinner with your choice of a Pasta Bar ( Spaghetti Bolognese and Tuscan Chicken With Penne) or a Taco bar ( Ground Beef or Chicken) and Toppings. For Dessert we will be serving Mama Birds Ice Cream. It will be a sundae bar with all the toppings!

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Bass Lake only allows Beer and Wine. We will be serving a variety of both. There will be no liquor.

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests
Answer
I am working on getting bid from two hotels in Holly Springs for rooms.

Do you have a wedding registry
Answer
We will not have a registry. This is a second marriage for both of us, and we already live together. We will be taking a honeymoon, so a honeymoon fund is the way we decided to go. We don't expect anything, but appreciate everything!
