The official party line is that we met "through mutual friends" but we all know that those words really translate to swiping right on a dating app. Hannah will always hold it over Dylan's head that he used his one and only daily "Super Like" on her profile. Dylan will always claim that he only used that because Hannah's profile stated she was a teacher and he was intrigued with the possibility of having a summer travel buddy for life. Regardless, this Super Like eventually led to meeting, and meeting led to dating, and dating to now marriage. What's that old saying? First comes Tinder, then comes marriage?
Dylan attempted to propose three times before succeeding in creating the fourth and most perfect moment of that day. He "worked on his house" all day to create the first and most secretive plan, but logistical concerns ultimately forced him on to attempt #2! He and Hannah had planned a date night in Brooklyn for that night and he convinced her to go to The Beach Bar as it was the location of their first date. Little did she know he planned on proposing at dinner. As often the case, The Beach Bar was extremely crowded that night and Dylan decided that their table squished between two other tables and the bar would not be an ideal spot to drop to a knee. Hannah then spoiled the third attempt as she stubbornly refused to walk along Clark Lake after dinner. So, Dylan was forced to shift gears, literally, and travel to "his mom's house." On the way to Manitou Beach, he arranged to pass the marina and casually suggested that they take a night cruise on his mom's pontoon where they spent many a summer day together. Once aboard, Dylan played music and slipped their song into the playlist. They slow danced to "All of Me" under the stars and among the waves before Dylan dropped to one knee and asked Hannah to spend the rest of her life with him.
