Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail
Walk The Atlanta BeltLine. This repurposed train track was converted to a walking path - connecting communities! Stop at one of the restaurants or Breweries along the way, as well as Ponce City Market and/or Krog Street Market.
Ponce City Market
Visit this one of a kind food hall! Lots of history in this building. You won't be disappointed!
Krog Street Market
A historic district with an amazing food scene. Visit an up and coming neighborhood and enjoy a nice lunch or dinner!
South City Kitchen Midtown
Grab breakfast, brunch, or dinner at one of the best southern kitchens in ATL! Make sure to make a reservation! Doris loved the shrimp and grits, and the chicken and waffles is to die for! A MUST!
Atlanta Botanical Garden
The botanical garden is in the same park grounds as the wedding venue. This should be an ideal visit during the autumn season! Highly recommended for an enjoyable afternoon outdoors.
National Center for Civil and Human Rights
We recently explored this museum, and it was an incredible experience. We highly recommend!
Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park
See MLK Jr's childhood home, as well as a park with his final resting place. Free to the public!
Margaret Mitchell House
Visit the house where Gone With the Wind was written. A fun stop in Midtown!
Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park is a 200+ acre greenspace in the heart of Atlanta hosting over 6 million visitors and hundred of events each year. It's my favorite walking path, and place to relax.
Pullman Yards, The Machinery
Pullman Yards is a historic site that was used in the 1900's to repair trains! The Pullman Company was renowned for luxurious rail travel across the country, and was also one of the largest employers of African American men during segregation. Now the site has been transformed into a Hall that houses multiple liquor vendors (brewery, distilleries, etc.). Matt and I have had a lot of fun here! It's also a huge filming location in Atlanta. Hunger Games, Fast and Furious, and Bad Boys 3 were filmed here! Pullman also has rotating exhibits, two on-site restaurants, and Emory’s Science Gallery.
Stone Mountain Park
This park has numerous trails, as well as a gondola to take you to the top of Stone Mountain.
Truist Park @ The Battery
Visit The Battery and Truist Park, home of the 2021 World Champion Atlanta Braves. The Battery is a unique district created alongside the baseball field which offers 365 day entertainment, shopping, event centers, dining and more.
Centennial Olympic Park
Visit 22-acres of greenspace that serves as Georgia’s legacy of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
World of Coca-Cola
Porsche Experience Center Atlanta
Take the day to drive a Porche or two, or interact with their simulators. Browse their museum. This one is a must for any of our car enthusiasts!
