We are so excited to be able to celebrate our wedding this year. It is ON and happening June 5, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally say our “I Do’s”. We sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and understanding during this time as we are still working with our venue and vendors to understand current regulations and COVID restrictions (which are constantly changing) to make sure that we can keep everyone safe, while still being able to celebrate accordingly. In order to stay in compliance with the current local guidelines, we have been required to reduce the number of guests we can invite. As things are changing so quickly, we ask again for your patience as we could be sending out invites later than normal as things continue to open up. We also understand that plans can change by the minute these days, so if yours do, just let us know! You can come back to change your RSVP, but please let us know what your plans are no later than May 15, 2021.
We will have plenty of hand sanitizer and masks at the wedding so we can be as safe as possible. The event will take place entirely outside and we will have seating arrangements for both the ceremony as well as dinner so we can make sure to properly space everyone out. Both of us have been fully vaccinated, as has all of the staff who will be at our wedding venue. To protect the health of everyone at the wedding, if you have not been vaccinated (which we highly encourage you to do), or have not contracted COVID-19 within the last 6 months, we will be requiring you to get tested prior to attending any wedding events. To be in compliance with local regulations, please prepare to bring proof of a negative test result. If you cannot get tested before leaving home, you can find some options for getting tested after you arrive in Sebastopol on our FAQ page. This goes without saying, but if you receive a positive test result, or if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we (sadly) must request that you do not attend our wedding (or any other events) to preserve the health and safety of other guests. Thanks in advance for taking this seriously.
It all started with a friend's birthday party lovingly dubbed, ApplePete's. Lauren and Matt's mutual friend, Pete, was having a birthday party which entailed a large group of Pete's friends taking a party bus to several different Applebee's locations around the North Bay. It happened to be pouring rain on this early March night, so when the AC in the bus was on full blast, Matt turned to the girl next to him and commented on it. Lauren, who, as we all know, is ALWAYS cold, replied back through chattering teeth, and the two struck up a conversation. It wasn't until the bus returned back to San Francisco when Matt and Lauren chatted again, but they hung out together for the rest of the party. The next day, Matt slid into Lauren's Facebook DMs and asked her out. It should surprise no one that they went to both a Warrior's game and an A's game within the first few dates. Don't worry, they went to a Forty Niners game later that year, too. After 1.5 years of dating, Lauren and Matt moved in together in Pacific Heights in San Francisco where they lived together for three years. They just recently purchased their first home together in Orinda, California and are adding a mini bernedoodle puppy to their family!
