After Zack's then-girlfriend moved away for college, he recruited Michael to help sweep the floors of the local Marcs they both worked at. Soon after, he gave Michael a ride home which led to many late night conversations sitting in Zack's truck. The two continued to grow close over the next year, which eventually led to Michael being the best man for Zack's wedding. Despite Zack moving to Dayton, the two continued to maintain their friendship with frequent calls to catch up and meeting up in Dayton, now as a double date with Zack's wife, Elise, and Josie. Now it's Zack's turn to have a go at being the best man.
Naomi
Maid of Honor
Naomi and Josie met in 2012 while the two lived in England. Despite only knowing each other in person for five months before Naomi moved away, the two were quickly the best of friends. Thanks to the moms' help, the two have stayed in contact since then, being able to see each other every other year. In 2021, while Josie lived in Dayton, OH, it was only 30 minutes away from Cedarville University which is where Naomi was attending college and so the two went from long-distance friends to living nearby and seeing each other often. What a blessing by God to fulfill the childhood dream of having your best friend of more than ten years be the maid of honor!
Robby

Robby and Michael were born to be best friends... literally! As Michael's older brother, the two had a great bond ever since he was born. Michael looked up to Robby in his early days as Robby taught him everything, from how to do multiplication to playing video games. This turned into a mutual bond as they both grew to like the same things and often spent time together. From tabletop games to movies, they did it all together. Through many ups and downs, the two's bond has remained strong.
Grace

Grace and Josie were instant best friends from the start, mostly because Grace is Josie's younger sister. Especially since they were homeschooled, the sisters grew up as classmates, roommates, and best friends. Though the two differing personalities (and varying heights), they'd get along well, even when they were separated by long distance due to one or the other moving away for college. Side by side or miles apart, these sisters will always be connected by heart.
Ethan
Groomsman
Ethan and Michael first met in their freshman year of high school through the local homeschool speech and debate club. While initially opponents to each other in their first year, the two became partners during their second year which led to becoming close friends. Since the older students graduated after Ethan and Michael's sophomore year, the two worked closely together to help lead the club. Fast forward to after they graduated, Ethan and Michael continued to maintain their friendship and regularly took time to hang out.
Elise
Bridesmaid
Fun fact: Elise is the wife of Zack, the best man! Despite Josie only knowing Elise since knowing Michael, the married couple have known and supported Michael and Josie's relationship since the beginning, before the two even started dating. With Zack and Elise living in Dayton where Josie also lived, she and Elise had been able to hang out just the two of them, while also going on fun double dates with guys whenever Michael visited. We love having this married couple as part of the bridal party!
