Why Silver Bay?

Answer

When we started talking about potential wedding venues we knew a few key things; we wanted to find a place where everyone could stay on the property together and we knew we wanted to be near a body of water. Each summer in his childhood Peter would attend the New York Yearly Quaker Meeting at Silver Bay and remembered it being one of the most beautiful places. When we discovered that we could have our wedding here it felt like the perfect fit! We are excited to share this beautiful place with you!

What do we do between wedding events?

Answer

As guests at Silver Bay we have access to all of their activities - hiking, gym, rock wall, boats, swimming ect. Or you can sit in a rocking chair and enjoy the view.

What food will be provided?

Answer

We will have light bites and drinks Friday night, early dinner at the reception Saturday and brunch on Sunday. When you arrive you will have the option to add meal tickets to the dinning hall. There is also a shop onsite where you can grab a slice, snacks and sandwiches.

What are my Lodging Options?

Answer

When you click through the "View" link on our How page it will bring you Silver Bay's website where you will have a few room options. After entering the number of guests you are booking for you will see options for William Boyd Center, The Inn- Private Bath, and The Inn-Shared Bath. These vary in nightly cost and fanciness and are each lovely in their own ways. For the shared bath rooms we would like to note that we have reserved the entirety of the Inn so you would only be sharing the bathroom with other friends/family there for the wedding. We hope this offers a more affordable option that is also comfortable.
